Crawlspace encapsulation, or sealing, is the treatment that architects, building scientists, and engineers are now recommending to turn a damp and dirty crawlspace into a clean, dry space where mold can’t grow.
All of our crawlspaces are encapsulated with high density threaded polyethylene vapor barrier. Vapor barrier is secured from the walls down, glued and taped at every seam, mechanically fastened at the walls and glued at the walls to ensure an air-tight seal.
Crawlspace encapsulations can be a great preventative measure, or a great defensive measure as part of a moisture management system.
